Simpang Renggam District Council was established in 2001 as part of a restructuring program by the State Government in Johor, Malaysia. It consists of 6 local councils and has a population of approximately 49,780 people from diverse backgrounds.

The council’s office was originally located in Bandar Renggam but was later moved to Simpang Renggam due to the town’s rapid development. The council’s main role is to act as an infrastructure catalyst for the community and to provide services to improve the quality of life for residents in the district.
