upanSOCSO, or the Social Security Organisation, is a Malaysian government agency that administers and enforces social security protection for employees and their dependants through the Employment Injury Scheme and the Invalidity Scheme.
It was established in 1969 and became a Statutory Body in 1985. Its main function is to provide financial support to workers and their families in the event of injury or invalidity.
SOCSO is committed to meeting the basic need for social security protection as outlined in the International Labour Organisation’s Convention 102: Minimum Standards for Social Security.
