Step 1: Log In to Maybank2u
Visit the official Maybank2u website (https://www.maybank2u.com.my), or use the Maybank2u app on your smartphone or tablet. Log in with your username and password.

Once logged in, click on the Settings tab in the top right corner of the screen. You’ll find various options related to your account and card settings.

From the Settings menu, select Cards. Here, you’ll see a list of your cards linked to your Maybank2u account. Pick the debit card for which you want to disable PayWave.
Step 4: Adjust Contactless Limit
Scroll down to the Contactless Limit section. This is where you can set the maximum amount you can spend using PayWave per day. By default, it’s RM1,000, but you can change it to any amount you prefer. To completely disable PayWave, set the limit to RM0.
Step 5: Confirm Changes
After adjusting the contactless limit, request a Transaction Authorization Code (TAC) by clicking the Request TAC button. Enter the code you receive via SMS, and then click Confirm. Congratulations! You’ve successfully turned off PayWave on your Maybank debit card.
