upanThe LATAR Expressway is operated by LATAR Highway Sdn Bhd, a company owned by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employees Trust Fund (ETF). It was built to alleviate traffic congestion on the existing Jalan Sungai Buloh-Kuala Selangor route and to provide a faster and more convenient connection between Kuala Lumpur and the west coast of the peninsula.
The expressway is 33 kilometers long and has six interchanges and six toll plazas on either side. It is expected to improve travel times and road safety for commuters in the area.
