Amir ZulkarnainThe Government of Malaysia has launched the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher (PTV) program to expand social protection for lower-income individuals.
The program began in September 2021 and is offered to eligible Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) recipients. They will receive an RM50 voucher to purchase a Perlindungan Tenang product from licensed insurers and takaful operators.
Starting in January 2022, eligible Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) recipients will receive an RM75 voucher to purchase or renew a Perlindungan Tenang protection plan, or purchase comprehensive motor insurance/takaful for motorcycles 150cc and below. However, to redeem the voucher for Allianz PerlindunganKu, a mandatory premium of RM5 must be paid.
